For ONE Month Only we want to buyback your Operator system
Once upon a time, a long time ago in 2021 we ran a Kickstarter. It went pretty well! We raised 271k! You can see it here. Then in 2022 when we started cutting and sewing these bags we ran into quite a few snags, some we should have seen and some we could not have known.
A few that stand out are:
1. The factory not being able to make our bags in anywhere near the timeline we agreed to
2. The fabric we designed the bag with was no longer available
3. Our fabric got lost in the mail… twice?
4. The cost of literally everything rose from 2021 to 2022
Needless to say, by the time we were sending out our product, one that we labored over for a year in the design and development process, we were ready to see them out the door and finally being used by our customers.
But then there were some quality issues. And THAT was NOT OK.
We heavily discounted the remainders and put up the disclaimer that we were not happy with the quality. (And yes you can even send those back in)
Now is the right time for us to make it right. As we look ahead to what we want to design in the next few years, we want to do a bag. We want to do that bag system. What we designed clearly appealed, and we believe that it can get even better. Because we’re able to do overseas manufacturing now, we’re also going to have partners who are up to the challenge!
WHOOOOOHHHH!
So, the long and the short of it is this: We would like to take back any bags that you are not 100% happy with.
This will give us a chance to review how the bags aged, how they failed and also in the process make sure you know that we are not about cutting corners on quality. We are pretty dogged about making sure you have a product that makes you feel like a badass. A bag that isn’t holding up simply won’t do.
Please send them back to us.
How it will work: You ship them to us, we send you a gift card.

What will we do with the bags: We will review them, learn what we can, and then donate them to a local bag up-cycling center, who will make something new out of them!
There will be no other time. We can only operationally, organizationally handle to do this one time. Please consider if you want to send your back bag this month and after that we will close this chapter for good.
In this spirit, we’d like to offer store credit for any Ops System that you’ve got at home that you’re not happy with or that has broken down in some way. You’ll only be able to exchange these items for store credit in the form of an electronic gift card. It will be non-giftable, non-transferable and it won’t expire.
You can only get store credit for what your original payment to get the system, whether you purchased it during the Kickstarter or more recently. So if you bought it on a deep discount or as part of our final sale special, you will receive that amount in store credit.

FAQs:
If I sent my Operator System in for repairs can I be reimbursed the price of the repair on top of the original cost of the system?
Unfortunately the repair is not able to be reimbursed.
What happens to my Operator System once it gets sent in?
We will review each bag carefully to see how it has worn out and what defects it has accrued. After we’ve had a look we will donate these to a reusable bag co-op in our building who will take the fabric and make them into reusable shopping bags. Some components may have to be scrapped or recycled.
Does this mean you’ll be making a new version of the Operator System in the future?
We are planning on re-designing it for launch in early Fall of 2025
How long will this offer be available?
1 month to send your bag in and get store credit! Let’s be practical, either you see this message and you decide to take action, or you don’t. That’s up to you!
